Setting Billing Contacts per Assignment

We have many clients that would like to have multiple billing contacts/folks receiving invoices on a per department basis, but currently the only way to accommodate this is to create multiple departments per unique billing contact/Attn To.


The idea is if one hiring manager/billing contact at ABC Corp wants to receive an invoice for 3 of the 5 assignments in the department, and the other hiring manager wants to receive invoices for the other two assignments, it would be great to be able to set them as billing contacts on the order (like we do for time approvers), rather than creating multiple departments to clutter the client tree.

We have many high volume customers with hundreds of assignments and dozens of hiring managers that would like to receive their own invoices, and currently the volume is increasing too greatly to manage having dozens and dozens of different departments.

    We are able to do this from the job order record by designating that contact the Role "Supervisor" (similar to Timecard Approver). We were told that "Supervisor" is hard-coded into the Billing Options in Customer > Back Office Setup > Billing Setup and will allow you to actually display the Contacts name on the Invoice. If the Contact is also a Timecard Approver you can have them listed twice as both Contact Roles.
